Welcome to the home of the Audio Supported Enhanced Learning (ASEL) Project Wiki.

ASEL was a JISC funded project under the Users and Innovations Programme. It commenced in January 2008 and completed in March 2009.

The project investigated the use of audio in teaching and learning in 3 specific areas:

• self reflection and self assessment
• formative and summative feedback
• collaborative learning

We also looked at using audio within web 2.0 and social networking sites, such as wikis and Ning.

This Wiki is designed to act as a free and open catalyst to the adoption of audio within Next Generation web technologies to support, enhance and personalise the learner experience in higher education.
